At Feltham Demolition, we take eco friendly demolition very seriously. We apply green practices in all our commercial and residential projects.
Our process begins with careful deconstruction (cut-and-carve) rather than a quick demolition. Our team then manually extracts materials like metals, wood, concrete, plastics, and hazardous materials, ready for recycling or ethical disposal.
We have built a network of recycling partners which means we can recycle approximately 98% of our waste. For example, concrete can be placed through a crusher and reused in the bases of other construction projects. Timber is often made into biomass fuel or recycled into new products.
To reduce the environmental impact on-site, we use the latest dust-controlling systems, including water-misting technology and protective screens around project boundaries. We control noise pollution by using modern, quiet machinery and doing noisy work at suitable hours. Our site teams regularly check the environmental impact by monitoring noise, air quality, and vibration to follow local rules and reduce disruption to nearby properties.
We have strict rules in place for keeping the site clean; specific teams are assigned to remove waste during the project, rather than waiting until the project is completed. Our vehicles also take the best routes to reduce carbon emissions, and they use Euro 6 compliant machinery whenever possible.

Islington Park Demolition, London
We were recently asked to do a total demolition of a park in Islington (North London) as part 1 of a 2 phase project that plans to regenerate the park facilities in the area. The park had fallen into disrepair, and in dire need of an upgrade. Not only will this regeneration be a stark aesthetic improvement, but the council hopes this will create a pleasant space to encourage families to spend more time outdoors. They need an experienced demolition contractor with grab hire to clean the site. Feltham Demo was up to the task.
Bank Vault Demolition in Kingston, Surrey
We recently completed the demolition of a concrete bank vault in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey. We had to approach this demolition job carefully and strategically, as the bank vault was located in the basement of a building. We needed to make sure that we were not damaging the structural integrity of the building while removing the large concrete vault.
